New Year, New Skills – Learn the ancient art of wax carving!
You’ll learn how to carve your very own ring in jeweller’s wax — no experience needed.
When and Where
Thursday 22 January 2026
7pm – 9:30pm
William the Fourth, 816 High Road, Leyton E10 6AE
Over 2.5 relaxed and hands-on hours, you’ll learn the ancient art of wax carving, a technique that
has been used for thousands of years to create precious metal jewellery. Using hard jeweller’s wax,
you’ll sculpt, carve, and shape your design into life, creating a unique ring model.
Workshop tickets are £35, and you can choose to have your finished design cast in silver afterwards
at an additional cost if you fall in love with it (spoiler: you will).
Knowledge Required
Don’t worry if you’ve never held a carving tool before, this workshop is perfect for beginners
(although you do need to be 18 years or over)
What’s Included
Tools and materials are provided; all you need to bring are your ideas (and maybe a few reference
photos if you like). At the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your hand-carved wax ring, ready to
take home as a keepsake.
